Founded in the tradition of DUNE dive clubs, present in the finest Club Med resorts worldwide, DUNE Turkoise combines technical expertise, love of the sea, and warm hospitality. Our PADI-certified instructors, several of whom are also PADI Course Directors (IDC), know the archipelago's sites inside out and guide you safely to the Providence Wall, Shark Hotel, West Caicos, and all of Grace Bay's reefs.

Whether you are a complete beginner wanting to try diving during your holiday, a parent wishing to introduce your children from age 8, or a certified diver seeking to explore the advanced sites of the archipelago, DUNE Turkoise is the address for you.

Courses and training: from try dive to PADI professional level

DUNE Turkoise offers a complete range of dive training and activities tailored to every profile.

For beginners and non-divers

  • Try Dive (from age 8): supervised first immersion at 3-5 meters in pool or calm lagoon. Duration: 30 minutes. No prerequisites.
  • Discover Scuba Diving (DSD): scuba experience to 12 meters in open water with a PADI instructor. Duration: 2 to 3 hours. For ages 10 and up.

Certification courses

  • PADI Open Water Diver: the world's most recognized diving certification. Duration: 3 to 4 days. Includes theory, pool sessions, and 4 open water dives. Lifetime certification.
  • PADI Advanced Open Water Diver: 5 adventure dives including deep and navigation. For OWD holders.
  • PADI Rescue Diver: managing underwater emergency situations. AOWD and first aid required.
  • PADI Divemaster: first PADI professional level.

Facilities and equipment: everything you need to dive safely

DUNE Turkoise is equipped to host up to 40 divers per day in optimal conditions of comfort and safety.

Equipment provided All necessary gear is included in packages: aluminum 12L and 15L tanks, DIN/INT regulators with gauges, BCDs in all sizes, 3mm and 5mm wetsuits, masks, snorkels, fins. All equipment is serviced and replaced regularly according to PADI standards.

Nitrox tanks DUNE Turkoise has an on-site Nitrox filling station. EANx 32% tanks are available for divers holding a PADI Nitrox certification or equivalent.

The boats DUNE Turkoise operates 2 rigid-hull inflatable boats of 10 meters, fitted with powerful engines, VHF radio, first aid kit, emergency oxygen, and an emergency ascent system. Each boat can accommodate 12 divers with all their gear.

Shore facilities The club features an air-conditioned briefing room, a gear rinse and drying area, changing rooms with showers, secure storage for personal equipment, and a boutique corner for accessories, wetsuits, and PADI manuals.

Booking with DUNE Turkoise is simple. The club is open every day, 7 days a week, from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM, on the beach at Club Med Turkoise in Providenciales.

To book your dives or training:

  • In person: head directly to the DUNE Turkoise desk upon arrival at Club Med
  • The evening before: sign up on the departure board posted each evening for the following day's trips
  • For courses: contact the club on your first day to plan your personalized training

Boat trip schedule

  • Morning: departure at 8:30 AM, return around noon (2 dives)
  • Afternoon: departure at 1:30 PM, return around 5:00 PM (2 dives)
  • Night dives: on request, departure at 6:30 PM

What is included All dives include full equipment, PADI-certified underwater guide, briefing and debrief, and boat transport. Nitrox, underwater cameras, and dive lights are available as optional extras.

Q: Is DUNE Turkoise exclusively for Club Med guests?

A: DUNE Turkoise primarily serves Club Med Providenciales guests. Please inquire at the club about availability for non-guests. PADI courses are offered exclusively to resort residents.

Q: What is the minimum level required to dive with DUNE Turkoise?

A: There is no minimum level: the club welcomes complete beginners (try dive, DSD) and advanced divers alike. Level-based groups are formed for each trip.

Q: Does DUNE Turkoise offer trips for certified independent divers?

A: Yes, Open Water-certified and above divers can join trips as buddy teams of 2 minimum. The boat guide remains available at the surface. Technical divers should inform the club manager of their configuration.

Q: Can I use my own dive equipment at DUNE Turkoise?

A: Yes, divers with their own gear are welcome to use it. DUNE Turkoise provides tanks and weights. A personal equipment check by an instructor is recommended before the first dive.

Q: Does DUNE Turkoise offer courses in English?

A: Yes, all PADI courses are available in French and English. Other languages may be available depending on instructors present. PADI manuals are available in many languages.

Q: What is the instructor-to-diver ratio at DUNE Turkoise?

A: DUNE Turkoise adheres to PADI standards: 1 instructor for up to 4-6 divers maximum during guided dives. For courses, the ratio is 1 to 4 maximum during open water sessions.

Q: Is there a decompression chamber near Providenciales?

A: The nearest hyperbaric chamber is in Nassau, Bahamas. DUNE Turkoise carries emergency oxygen on every boat and instructors are trained in dive emergency first aid (PADI Rescue Diver and DAN O2 Provider). Safety protocols are strictly followed.

Q: Is diving included in the Club Med Turkoise package?

A: Diving with DUNE Turkoise is offered as a separate package from the Club Med stay. All-inclusive dive options are available. Ask your Club Med travel agent or visit the club upon arrival for details.
